Innocent Love

Long I've waited,
So elated,
    For this day to come.

My heart is pounding,
Ever sounding
    Like a beating drum.

My friends around me,
Sleeping soundly,
    Know not of me and you.

Happy feelings,
Longed-for dreamings,
    Ready to come true.
